PARTNER
Forest Carbon is a UK-based nature restoration organisation specialising in woodland creation and peatland restoration to deliver high-integrity carbon credits and ecosystem benefits.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Forest Carbon engaged us to produce two animated infographics to illustrate how carbon credits accrue over time in woodland creation and peatland restoration. The deliverables were meant for embedding on web pages, sharing on social media, and use in stakeholder communications.
CHALLENGE
The carbon credit process involves multiple procedural stages over time. The challenge was to streamline this process visually, maintain scientific credibility, and ensure the various stages were clear and easy to follow.

OBJECTIVES
🔹Translate technical concepts into accessible visual explanations.
🔹Create both animated and static infographics for use across digital channels, presentations, websites and
     stakeholder engagement.
🔹Maintain a cohesive visual identity aligned with Forest Carbon's brand.
🔹Illustrate Forest Carbon’s solutions around ecosystem restoration
WE WORKED ON
🔹Concept development in collaboration with the Forest Carbon communication team.
🔹Visual storytelling and design.
🔹Animation.
🔹Delivery of assets optimised for web, social, and print use

OUR APPROACH
We designed a visual language that reflects Forest Carbon’s connection to the natural landscapes it restores.
Each infographic was structured as a clear, time-based journey, showing how woodland and peatland projects evolve and generate carbon credits as they progress through key verification stages.
The motion design focuses on gentle transitions and intuitive sequencing, helping viewers understand complex processes at a glance.
Some of the key creative decisions included:
🔹 Depicting tree growth and peatland rewetting to visualise ecosystem recovery over time.
🔹 Designing clear milestone markers to highlight validation and credit issuance stages.
🔹 Using subtle, purposeful motion to guide attention without distraction.
🔹 Maintaining visual consistency with Forest Carbon’s brand and colour palette for cohesive storytelling.
OUTCOME
The final result provides Forest Carbon with two impactful, clear infographics to communicate how nature-based projects generate carbon value over time. They are used on web pages, social media, and presentations, helping diverse audiences grasp the flow of restoration to credit issuance.
